England Athletic Competition License if required costs a further £14. This entitles you to enter EA Liscesed events as an affiliated runner at a discount of £2 per event.

FAQ's

We run two days a week. Monday and Wednesday, starting at 7pm. Check the weekly diary or the run calendar to find out more information

At the Moment we accept Cash or Cheque. Please send your payment to the Membership Secretary.

No, just turn up on the night and run.

On Monday night runs we all run together in one group and depending on the abilities of those taking part the Leader may introduce long / short splits.

On Wednesday night runs we have 2 / 4 / 6 and 6+ mile runs.

On all runs we adopt the loop back system where at certain stages on the run the front runners loop back to pick up the tail runners.

Any advice re running if you might have a stress fracture in your foot? I'm new to running and have been referred for an xray. Frustrating as I was training for the Great West Run. Thanks Christie.

Hey Christie, when i had a stress fracture in my Fibula , i was put in plaster for six weeks....so i would possibly say NO to running until Xray!!!

Get a good sports physio for rehab: Josh @ Jurassic Physio is great.

Only answer to a stress fracture in the foot is a complete rest from high impact activities such as running for 6-8 weeks, followed by building up the mileage gradually, avoiding hard surfaces initially. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but starting running too early can lead to delayed recovery at best and a complete fracture at worst. Agree with Louise and recommend going to a sports injury physio for specialist advice.

In honour of JP's festival run, on Sunday, setting off from the sailing club 9am, eta 9.20ish Mutter's Moor car park (if you want to start from there) for a circumnavigation of the route, plus assorted extras. What distance Jo?

The run was a 10km starting from Jacobs Ladder, with the extra bit along the seafront would be about 8 miles. But could be shorter loops or indeed longer extras to suit all.
