The Club is affiliated to England Athletics, ARC and FRA

Sidmouth Running Club was founded on the 13th January 2003 and continues to flourish from its headquarters at the Sailing Club situated at the eastern end of the esplanade.

The Club caters for all running capabilities and has a very friendly and social membership openly welcoming and encouraging new members to achieve their goals.

We are fortunate to be able to run in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and this is our training ground as we do not have the facilities for track and field but take part in a variety of local and national races.

Our current membership age range from juniors to senior members in their seventy’s.

VISITORS

We welcome runners visiting the area and offer them an open invitation to join us, Monday evenings where we all run together between 4 and 5 miles and Wednesday evening when we have 2,4, 6 and 6+ mile runs.

During the summer running is off road and on road in the winter.

Just turn up and introduce yourself.

See the training diary or calendar for times and start locations.

Mighty Green Ambassadors

As we enter 2019 we're down to 10 Mighty Green Ambassadors. Stick to those New Year's resolutions and enter an event now! The club park run group got off to a good start today and we have the Blackdown Beast coming up shortly. Remember to send in those run reports and check for events in the "what's on" section of the website. Also don't forget that volunteering counts too- any park run volunteers out there?

If you’ve forgotten to record previous events don’t worry it’s not too late- just complete the form. However Hamish would be delighted if you could report your run straight after your race as this helps him with his Sidmouth Herald reports.

What is it all about? The aim is for all club members to represent SRC at least once every month by taking part in a running event or by representing SRC as a volunteer at a race or social event. Each event only counts once (different park runs are counted as different events) and although the aim is for one each month you only need to collect 10 over the 12 month period (2 months allowed for holidays or injury). However only one event per month counts towards the 10.
