This week (Jan 19th), the Friday run will start from the lay-by west of the Bowd Inn, at 10am. We may be able to dodge the showers, and enjoy the views. Hopefully, the mud will not be quite so woman-eating and 'fragrant' as last week's, and no rescue acts will be needed!

To all the Beginners and Improvers, feeling sore, high highs and low lows is all part of it. Think longer term and you will see and feel the benefits. Keep going...😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 ... See MoreSee Less

My test of how hard I ran is whether the next morning I can bend my knees unsupported to sit on the loo, or whether I need to hang on to the window ledge. Probably too much information, but hey whatever ;-)!

Huge well done to the beginners tonight, the confidence you have gained in your own abilities in such a short period of time is remarkable. Setting your own jog/walk pace you knocked over 3 minutes off last week's time, finishing the 2.5 miles in 34 minutes comfortably.Congratulations to you all, keep it up. ... See MoreSee Less

The Sunday Runners at the start. Janice Ranson aka 'Swampy' who lives the nearest to the start did a Julian Bartlett and missed it but caught us up at Stowford Cross. She is too young to remember the real Swampy! Beacon Hill Trig 795 ft. I thought I would be artistic with my photography and introduce nostalgia into the photo at the Buckton Hill Trig 647ft. No idea how - Kyle Baker help!
Got it at last Bob is Dave. 7.7 miles with 1275 feet of elevation gain. 8 miles for Swampy who ran round the car park.
Next Sunday 'Hell' awaits
