Events to look out for

Recommended events and notices:

  • Coach to Exmouth on Sunday 17th December leaves Knowle car park at 8:30am.
    You have a choice of A: being dropped at Budleigh and coming home from there, B: drive yourself to Budleigh, join the coach to Exmouth and come back to your car, C: being dropped at Exmouth and come home from there. The coach is free and all members and their families are welcome to come so if you fancy a family run, jog or walk along the coastal path please join us. Name and numbers to me please stating option A, B, C by December 10th. You come back at your own pace and Ladram Bay would be open for coffee and cake.
  • Four Trigs 2018.
    The 2018 challenge will be on Sunday 11th February 2018. Entry form and details can be found here.
  • Exe to Axe 2018.
    The 2018 event will take place on Sunday 8th April, 2018. Details to follow.
  • Sunday Runs – Updated.
    Details of the Sunday Runs up until the end of March 2018 can be found here. Included are 3 specific training runs for the 4 trigs.

Just like Julia Haddrell I've been chasing a sub 30 minute parkrun. After a lifetime of indolence I did my first parkrun in January 2016 at the age of 68 3/4 and I've now done 41 with breaks for injuries. I only joined Sidmouth Running Club this year at the age of 70 but I'm sure it has helped me. Last Saturday I achieved a PB by 45 seconds at Seaton parkrun. Was I happy? Yes and no, because although I gained a PB my time of 30.04 meant I just missed out on my goal! ... See MoreSee Less
